Summary of Recent NDIS Pricing Changes

Short Term Accommodation (STA) and respite pricing has changed significantly. Instead of one fixed daily rate covering both support and accommodation, these costs will now be charged separately. This means participants accessing 1:1 STA on weekdays will see the maximum daily price reduce from $2,178 to $1,844.

Support worker pricing has increased by 4.8% following the Fair Work Commission's annual wage review. Effective 1 July, the maximum weekday rate is $73.58 per hour, while High Intensity Support is capped at $79.60 per hour.

Nursing services and the majority of other worker-based supports have received a 3.6% increase in their maximum pricing.

The hourly price limit for psychology and behaviour support has increased by 8.6%, resulting in a new maximum rate of $252.99 per hour.

Several allied health services have seen price reductions. The maximum rate for art therapy, music therapy, and other therapy services is now $156.16 per hour, a decrease of 19.5%. Dietetics has reduced by 5.3%, while exercise physiology has decreased by 3.0%.

There are no changes to the current pricing limits for Support Coordination, Plan Management, Individualised Living Options (ILO), and most core therapy supports, with rates remaining the same as the 2025–26 pricing period.

While the NDIS Annual Pricing Review proposed a 10% reduction in price limits for unregistered Social and Community Participation support workers, this recommendation has not yet been implemented in the current Price Guide.
